Kennel History

 

This kennel as started with Bobtail breeding, and after 10 years with decided to dedicated ourselves to a great challenge of starting with a Portuguese breed almost in extinction and turned it in a winning breed known in Europe.

As my relation with dogs, where mostly with shepherds the choice of the breed could only be one, the Serra D`Aires.

In 1988 with the help of the brothers Loureiro Borges I got my first female, that even today is on the base of all my dogs, Macaca as she was kwon, Ch. P. WW 1990 D`Èvora.

From this bitch and 2 dogs we use on her, one from Netherlands Ch.P, Int, WW Atlantis and other from Portugal CH. P,S,Int, WW Joio do Magoito we would get some of the most famous Serra D`Aires of all times.

From the first litter we got 2 females that are the base of our breed in this days, Ch P, S, EW A Nossa da Quinta D`Abroeira and Ch. P,S,F,int WW Arisca da Quinta D`Abroeira that went to France to the Sutre Family.

Compadre da Quinta D`Abroeira in spite of is premature death was group winner on the world show in puppy class.

 

Later would appear Ch. Port, Sp, Lux,Ne,Bel,Fin,Int, WW 94, 95, 98 EW 95, 97 and top dog All Port. Breeds 94,95,96 Diva da Quinta D`Abroeira, witch is still today the dog in Portugal who as win more titles and especially R.group in world show in Belgique,and was placed on group final in Euro Champion Luxemburg and Netherlands.

Another famous dog was Ch. P,Sp, Lux, Fin, World 95, 98 Europ 97,98 ,99 Estribo da Quinta D`Abroeira, reproducer that is in almost all pedigrees of the champions of our days.

Some other famous dogs where Ch P, Sp, Int., Eur., WW Fisga da Quinta D`Abroeira, Ch P, Sp, Ned, WJW 01,WW 02 Moscatel da Quinta D`Abroeiora, Ch P, E, Int. WJW, Eu W 02 Onda da Quinta do Refugio.
